In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click General. In the Homepage field, enter a webpage address. To simply use the webpage you’re currently viewing, click Set to Current Page. On your computer, open Chrome. At the top right, click More Settings. Under 'Appearance,' turn on Show Home button. Safari User Guide
You can use any webpage as your homepage, and have it shown when you open a new window or a new tab.
- In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click General.
- In the Homepage field, enter a webpage address. To simply use the webpage you’re currently viewing, click Set to Current Page.
- Choose when your homepage is shown.
- Open new windows with your homepage: Click the “New windows open with” pop-up menu, then choose Homepage.
- Open new tabs with your homepage: Click the “New tabs open with” pop-up menu, then choose Homepage.
To quickly open your homepage in Safari, choose History > Home.

Comcast offers a portal on its website, providing users with news, weather and a search bar. For subscribers to Comcast services, the site also features the ability to check email and voicemail, and even watch some TV shows. If you use the features on Comcast's site frequently, setting it as your homepage allows easy access, automatically loading the page each time you start your Web browser. The process varies slightly depending on your Web browser, but only takes moments to perform.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Step 1
Click the 'Start' button and select 'Internet Explorer,' or double-click the 'Internet Explorer' icon on your desktop to open a new Web browser window.
Step 2
Type 'www.comcast.net' in the address bar and press 'Enter.' Wait while Comcast's Web page loads.
Step 3
Click on the arrow to the right of the 'Home' button, which appears as an icon of a house. Press 'Add or Change Home Page' on the drop-down menu.
Click 'Use this webpage as your only home page,' then click 'Yes' to finish.
Mozilla Firefox
Step 1
Press the 'Start' button, then click on 'Mozilla Firefox' or double-click the 'Mozilla Firefox' icon on your desktop.

Click the icon of a wrench on the toolbar and click on 'Options' or 'Preferences,' whichever appears on your system.
Step 3
Click the 'Basics' tab and select the 'Open this page' option.
Type 'www.comcast.net' into the text box. Press 'OK' to close the preferences window and save the setting.
